Raptor Engineering e la McLaren GT3 nell’Italiano GT Endurance

Modena, 31 agosto 2026. (Agenzia ErregiMedia) Nuovo capitolo e nuovi alfieri si aggiungono al programma in pista che Raptor Engineering ha inaugurato nelle corse GT3 con McLaren all’inizio della stagione 2026. Dopo l’esordio a Imola in aprile e il primo successo a Vallelunga in maggio nella serie Sprint, il 4-6 settembre il team modenese affronterà per la prima volta un round del Campionato Italiano GT Endurance. L’appuntamento è, destino nel destino, di nuovo sull’Autodromo di Imola, che dunque terrà a battesimo la squadra diretta da Andrea Palma e Isabelle Maserati anche in questo esordio-bis nella classe regina con la McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. Nei colori Raptor, al volante della vettura della Casa britannica si alterneranno Riccardo Cazzaniga, Alessio Deledda e Artem Petrov. Se il brianzolo classe 1997 e campione italiano 2025 nella serie tricolore è già un riferimento all’interno del team proprio per le esperienze maturate con la McLaren nello Sprint, sul circuito del Santerno Deledda e Petrov saranno le new-entry della squadra. Entrambi formatisi nella gare in monoposto, sia il 31enne romano sia il pilota russo classe 2000 vantano numerose esperienze in vari campionati Gran Turismo internazionali e in passato sono già stati compagni di equipaggio.

Il programma del CIGT Endurance a Imola prevede due prove libere di un’ora alle 11.55 e alle 16.00 di venerdì 4 settembre. Ulteriore libera poi alle 8.45 di sabato, quando dalle 14.00 prenderanno il via anche i turni di qualifica. Il clou è domenica: la 3 ore di gara scatta alle 12.05 e sarà trasmessa in diretta su ACI Sport TV, canale 228 di Sky, 52 di TvSat e on demand sul web.

Andrea Palma, team principal di Raptor Engineering: “Per la squadra la serie Endurance non è nuova perché l’abbiamo vissuta con le Porsche in GT Cup nel 2025, però l’esperienza che inaugureremo a Imola ci proietta in GT3 e rappresenta un salto in avanti per ciò che stiamo cercando di costruire con il progetto McLaren. E la ripeteremo più avanti al Mugello, come una sorta di mini-programma di training. Questi due round ci aiuteranno a proiettarci nel 2027 e saranno utili per rimettere in allenamento la squadra e trovare le migliorie necessarie allo svolgimento di questa tipologia particolare di gare, che comprendono pit stop e rifornimenti, ma anche sotto il profilo tecnico a livello di vettura e per tutto ciò che concerne i piloti. Ci presentiamo con un equipaggio di livello, siamo certi che potremo far bene e magari centrare qualche risultato interessante”.

McLaren GT ha presentato Young Driver Programme con Ross Wylie e Andrew Watson

In occasione dell'Autosport International Show, McLaren GT ha confermato il lancio del McLaren GT Young Driver Programme per la stagione GT 2015 che vedrà la nuova McLaren 650S GT3 impegnata in diversi campionati.

I piloti Ross Wylie (Scozia, 23 anni) e Andrew Watson (Irlanda del Nord, 19 anni), sono stati scelti per lavorare con McLaren GT e con i piloti McLaren Rob Bell, Kevin Estre e Alvaro Parente al fine di migliorare ulteriormente le loro competenze e conoscenze in vista del proseguimento della loro carriera agonistica nelle corse Gran Turismo.

McLaren GT confirms works driver line-up for two car entry at the 2014 Gulf 12 Hour

McLaren GT has confirmed it will enter two examples of the 650S GT3 at the 2014 Gulf 12 Hour as the final stage of the development programme, ahead of customer deliveries for the 2015 season. The experienced driver line-up will see Rob Bell, Kevin Estre and Alvaro Parente in a full McLaren GT works entry, running alongside a Pro-Am customer partnership also managed by McLaren GT.

The development programme for the 650S GT3 has been run in parallel with the competitive running of 12C GT3s throughout 2014, benefiting from live track data from customer teams racing across the globe. This information, in conjunction with the extensive testing programme throughout Europe, has enabled the team to run an intensive schedule with constant improvements being made at every stage. The final activity will see the two 650S GT3s face the toughest test to date, battling against a highly competitive grid on the famous Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.

As McLaren GT works drivers, Bell, Estre and Parente have been heavily involved with the development of the 650S GT3, and all three have competed at the highest level at the wheel of the 12C GT3. This season, Bell finished third in the Asian GT series while also claiming a hattrick of podium finishes with the 650S Sprint on its debut at Donington Park. Estre, in his first full year racing with McLaren GT, showed strong pace in each championship he contested, claiming back-to-back podiums in the Blancpain Endurance Series, and a dominant pole position at the highlight of the German VLN endurance series, to set the fastest lap in the history of the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Parente also secured further silverware with the 12C GT3 with victory at the opening round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza, followed by a hard-fought second place in Paul Ricard.

The 650S GT3 of Bell, Estre and Parente will wear the orange, white and black livery which debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this summer, and will run the iconic #59, made famous by the McLaren F1 GTR at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. The activity marks the first McLaren GT works entry since the 12C GT3 completed a similar test at the 2011 Total 24 Hours of Spa ahead of the competitive debut in the 2012 season. The second 650S GT3 will be driven by Pro-Am pairing of Peter Kox and Nico Pronk, in a livery of silver and white with striking red detailing.
